A Marine with the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit onboard the USS John F. Kennedy looks out over the Hudson River at downtown Manhattan in New York City May 25. The USS Kennedy was involved in a parade of ships that made their way into New York Harbor and docked in midtown Manhattan. The Marines of the 24th MEU and the Sailors stationed aboard the USS Kennedy are in New York taking part in cityís annual Fleet Week.

Two CH-46 Sea Knights land at the Manhattan Heliport to pick up Marines from 1st Battalion 8th Marines, attached to the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, to perform a helicopter raid for spectators on Long Island, NY May 28. The Marines spent a few hours demonstrating a helicopter raid and manning static displays in Eisenhower Park on Long Island. The 24th MEU has been involved in Fleet Week in New York City.
